Saint Martin, patron of the land of Grandparents' Day
📅 Every year, on 11 November; the town helped establish Italy's Grandparents' Day, now on 2 October
Noceto celebrates Saint Martin on 11 November, in the church dedicated to him. The town is linked to the birth of Italy's Grandparents' Day: from 2002-2003, the town council, and in particular mayor Fabio Fecci, worked to have grandparents officially celebrated, and secured moving the date, originally set at 26 July in the draft law, to 2 October.
