The patron of Borgonovo Val Tidone is Our Lady of the Assumption, celebrated on 15 August.
The first weekend of September brings the Festa d'la chisöla, a feast dedicated to the chisöla, a traditional focaccia with pork cracklings recognised with the municipal De.Co. label. On Easter Monday, instead, the Fiera dell'Angelo is held, with stalls, an exhibition of farm machinery and animals, and a food and wine review. The town also holds the Castle of Borgonovo Val Tidone and the Castle of Castelnovo.
