The patron of Calendasco is Saint Conrad Confalonieri, born here in 1290 and celebrated on 19 February, the day of his death, which occurred at Noto in 1351. A penitent, Franciscan tertiary and pilgrim, he led a hermit's life and is venerated as a saint by the Catholic Church.
During the feast, a great procession is held, and on the preceding Sunday a historical procession re-enacts the scenes of his conversion. Afterwards, a blessing of children is organized near the church. The town holds the Castello di Calendasco and overlooks the Trebbia Regional River Park.
