The patron of Casola Valsenio is Saint Lucy of Syracuse, celebrated on 13 December.
Since 1990, on the third weekend of October, and in recent years also the second, the town hosts the Festa dei Frutti Dimenticati (Forgotten Fruits Festival), heir to the historic Festa di Mezza Quaresima (Mid-Lent Festival). On the evening of Good Friday comes the evocative Processione del Signor Morto (Procession of the Dead Christ). The town holds the Giardino delle erbe Augusto Rinaldi Ceroni, the Abbazia di Valsenio and the Rocca di Monte Battaglia.
