The patron of San Giorgio di Nogaro is Our Lady of Sorrows, celebrated on the Friday before Palm Sunday, in the Church of the Madonna Addolorata.
The town, which owes its name to Saint George the Martyr, also holds the Church of San Giorgio Martire, whose liturgical feast, on 23 April, was retained in the new General Roman Calendar of 1969. The town also holds the Church of San Leonardo and Villa Dora.
