The patron of Alvito is Saint Valerius the Martyr, celebrated on the Saturday after Pentecost.
The town holds the Convent of San Nicola and several historic palaces, including Palazzo Elvino, Palazzo Gallio, Palazzo Graziani and Palazzo Sipari, as well as the Church of San Simeone.
