The patron saint of Sora is Saint Restituta, celebrated on 27 May in the church named after her.
The town, today an important industrial and commercial centre with paper mills, furniture factories and textile industries, hosts the Sora Fair, welcoming thousands of visitors every year. Among the town's religious traditions is also the feast of the Madonna delle Grazie, on 2 July, when the people of Sora climb the 409 steps leading to the church on Monte San Casto: the devotion, introduced in the diocese at the will of the Bourbon royals, has remained alive only in Sora and Roccavivi.
