The patron saint of Albano Laziale is Saint Pancras the Martyr, celebrated on 12 May: he is patron of both the town and the suburbicarian diocese of Albano. The celebrations include a solemn pontifical Mass in the cathedral dedicated to him, the traditional procession of the saint's statue through the town's streets, and a fair that has accompanied the feast since ancient times.
Albano Laziale also celebrates Our Lady of the Rosary: Pope Pius V solemnised her cult to commemorate the Christian victory at the famous Battle of Lepanto. The town, located in the heart of the Castelli Romani, also holds other sites of great historical and artistic interest, such as the church of Santa Maria della Stella, the church of San Filippo Neri and Castel Savello.
