The patron saints of Frascati are Saints Philip and James, celebrated on 3 May.
In the church of Santa Maria in Vivario, on 18 June 1656, a solemn celebration was held for the arrival in town of the Madonna delle Scuole Pie and of Saint Joseph Calasanz, founder of the order, welcomed in front of Porta San Pietro: the event was depicted in a painting by the artist Antoine-Jean-Baptiste Thomas. The town also holds the Chiesa del Gesù, Villa Falconieri and the famous Villa Aldobrandini, at the heart of the Castelli Romani Regional Park.
