The patron of Barbariga is Saint Vitus, celebrated on 15 June in the Church of Santi Vito, Modesto e Crescenzia, with a traditional festival and a solemn procession.
In 2004 the casoncello (stuffed pasta) and the Bariloca of Barbariga received the De.Co. (municipal origin) designation, and since 2005 the Pro Loco has organized the Fiera del Casoncello De.Co. The church holds the high altar's antependium, made in polychrome marble by Domenico Corbarelli in 1704, one of the main examples of his workshop's Baroque output. The town also holds the mill of Val di Cò and the Church of the Madonna del Pino.
