The patron saint of Salò is Saint Charles Borromeo, celebrated on 4 November.
Every year the town hosts the Gasparo da Salò International Violin Festival, with evening concerts by famous European orchestras conducted by celebrated international violin masters. The gulf of Salò also hosts the Salò Sail Meeting and the End-of-Summer Regatta of the Eni-Vodafone Grandi Classiche del Garda circuit, as well as a stage of the bisse rowing championship. The town holds the Cathedral of Salò and the Church of San Bernardino.
