The patron of Barzago is Saint Bartholomew, celebrated on 24 August in the Church of San Bartolomeo.
From 27 August to 4 September comes the Palio dei Rioni, an event launched by the Oratorio di Barzago in 1981 and revived in 2011: four districts, blue, yellow, red and green, compete in seven-a-side football, volleyball, tug of war, the hamster game, the spoon game, and scooter and bicycle gymkhanas. The town holds the Shrine of Santa Maria Nascente and the Church of Santi Giovanni e Paolo.
