The patron of Boffalora sopra Ticino is Santa Maria della Neve, celebrated on the first Sunday of August in the parish church dedicated to her.
The town also holds the Shrine of the Madonna di Acquanegra, home to the annual Festa dell'Acquanera in March, and in September celebrates the Festa della Sùcia, tied to the draining of the Navigli canals. On 23 June 1959, during the centenary of the Battle of Magenta, the town was visited by Italian president Giovanni Gronchi and French president Charles de Gaulle.
