In the cemetery stands the Casati mausoleum, and inside lie Federico Confalonieri, the patriot Austria shut up in the Spielberg, with his wife Teresa Casati, and Gabrio Casati, who as minister signed the kingdom's first law on schooling.
The family villa, designed in 1798 by Leopold Pollack, is now the town hall, and the English park that surrounded it has become a sports ground. Two columns topped with crosses, at the edges of the town, mark where the dead of the 1576 plague were buried; the chapel of San Rocco, of 1524, was already dedicated to the protector against plague. There are 23,208 residents.

Muggiò celebrates Saints Peter and Paul together with Our Lady of Sorrows of the Chestnut on the third Sunday of September; on 16 August, for the feast of Saint Roch, a procession sets out from the chapel dedicated to him towards the parish church of Santi Pietro e Paolo.
