The patron of Montelupone is Saint Firmanus the Abbot, celebrated on 11 March, the day of his death, in the Abbey of San Firmano. Religious events continue for several days and culminate in a solemn procession of his relics through the town's streets.
On the Sunday closest to 20 May, the feast of the vow to Our Lady is held, a celebration dating back to the drought that struck the Montelupone area in 1893, when the townspeople turned to the Virgin in prayer. The town also holds the Palazzo dei Priori and the Civic Tower.
