The patroness of Acceglio is Santa Maria Assunta (Assumption of Mary), celebrated on 15 August; the municipality holds the Chiesa di Maria Vergine Assunta.
The local economy is based on livestock farming and the cattle trade, as in the days of the great medieval fair of October, and on the working of some black and green marble quarries. The municipality also holds the Cappella San Francesco, Monte Oronaye, the Cima delle Manse, Monte Soubeyran and Monte Oserot.
