The patron saints of Turi are Saint John the Baptist, celebrated in the Church of San Giovanni Battista, and Saint Orontius, both on 26 August.
The chariot of Saint Orontius, which moves from the square in front of the church dedicated to him, near the town cemetery, is carried in procession on the evening of 26 August all the way to the town's main square, where it is welcomed by a festive crowd. On 8 September, around a chapel, the whole town gathers, amid the old borgo's charm, to celebrate the Nativity of Mary. The town also holds the Church of San Rocco and the Church of San Domenico, built in 1644.
