The patron of Apricena is Saint Mary of the Incoronata, whose patronal feast is held in spring: on the last Saturday of April, the statue of the Madonna is moved from the sanctuary, built outside the town, to the Mother Church of Santi Martino e Lucia.
The feast proper takes place on the last Sunday of May. The Friday before, in the afternoon, the statue is carried through some of the town's streets, and fireworks batteries are lit during the procession, as also happens in Sunday morning's procession. The town also holds Pirro Nord and the Palazzo Baronale, as well as Castel Pagano.
