The patron saint of Maglie is Saint Nicholas of Myra, celebrated on 9 May. The town has been devoted to the saint since very ancient times, and many churches, especially the oldest ones, honour him.
Other town feasts include that of Saint Orontius and that of Saints Cosmas and Damian. Maglie holds the Cathedral and the Castle, as well as several prehistoric dolmens across its territory, including the Dolmen Grotta and the Dolmen Chianca.
