The patron saint of Veglie is Saint John the Baptist, celebrated on 24 June.
The first Sunday of June holds the feast and fair of Saint Francis of Paola, while on 8 September the feast and fair of the Madonna dell'Iconella is celebrated, known in dialect as «Matonna ti la cuneddhra». The Sunday after Easter also honours the Madonna dei Greci, in a tradition known as the Pasquetta di Veglie. The town holds the Church of Sant'Antonio Abate and the Church of Santa Maria di Costantinopoli.
