The patron saints of Vernole are Saint Anne and Saint Joachim, celebrated on 25 and 26 July.
On 18 January, a votive religious feast is held to thank Saint Anne, who saved the town from the earthquake of 18 January 1833. On the last Saturday and Sunday of April, the feast of the Madonna di Roca is held, a symbolic occasion shared with Melendugno, Borgagne and Calimera; on the fourth Sunday of June, the Fiera di San Giovanni, an agricultural fair organised by the local tourist association. The town also holds the Castle of Acaya and the Le Cesine State Nature Reserve.
