The patron of Aritzo is Saint Michael the Archangel, celebrated on 8 May, to whom the Chiesa parrocchiale San Michele Arcangelo is dedicated; among the town's other important feasts are those of Saint Anthony the Abbot, Saint Anthony of Padua, Saint John, Saint Isidore, Saint Basil and Our Lady of the Snow.
The «sagra delle castagne e delle nocciole» (chestnut and hazelnut festival), begun in 1972, is held on the last weekend of October: over the two festive days almost 50,000 visitors can be counted. Another sagra is that of the Carapigna.
