The patron of Desulo is Saint Anthony the Abbot, celebrated on 17 January in the Church of Sant'Antonio Abate.
On 16 July comes the feast of the Madonna del Carmelo, an occasion when the Prioresses of the dedicated confraternity are installed; on the second Sunday of September comes the feast of Saint Basil, with an installation ceremony preceding a procession and Mass. The town holds Casa Montanaru, dedicated to the Sardinian poet Antioco Casula, and the Nuraghe Bruncu Nuraghe.
