Sos Furrighesos is a necropolis of eighteen domus de janas cut on three superimposed levels. They were reached by notches cut in the rock, and around the doors of the tombs runs a system of little channels that carried the rainwater away: they were there to keep the carvings, the dead and their grave goods dry.

On the thirty-first of July 1945 seven firefighting workers of the state forestry board died while putting out a fire on the village's common land: a plaque and a mass every year remember them. Anela, which had been the head of the curatoria of Goceano, was from 1478 a royal fief: it was run by the king's officials and not by a family of feudal lords, until the redemption of 1839.
