The patroness of Luogosanto is Our Lady of Luogosanto (Nostra Signora di Luogosanto), celebrated on 8 September; the village holds the basilica of Nostra Signora di Luogosanto.
Since 1982, every year on 2 June, a night pilgrimage on foot has set out from Calangianus to the basilica, involving hundreds of the faithful. Until the 1970s a door was walled up; a bronze one was then made by the sculptor Luca Luchetti, which opens every seven years for a whole year and is a destination of pilgrimage for thousands of the faithful.
