The patroness of Nuragus is Saint Mary Magdalene (santa Maria Maddalena), celebrated on 21 and 22 July; the municipality holds the Chiesa di Santa Maria Maddalena.
The calendar of feasts includes Saint Elijah the Prophet (sant'Elia Profeta), on 5, 6 and 7 July, and Saint Isidore (sant'Isidoro) in May. In August comes «Totus Impari», an event for emigrants; in September the food and wine showcase «Il Nuragus a Nuragus». The variety of Sardinian spoken in the village is Western Campidanese.
