Patron saint festival In 326 days
Mary Most Holy of the Star, patroness of a free fair established by King Alfonso of Aragon
📅 Every year, on 8 September
Militello in Val di Catania celebrates Mary Most Holy of the Star on 8 September; her sanctuary, rebuilt from 1722 after the 1693 earthquake, already stood in Norman times, and an old free fair established in 1446 by King Alfonso I of Aragon was held around her feast days.
