Capizzi celebrates Saint James on 25 July; the following day the feast of the «Miracles» is held, recalling the removal of the saint's relics from the sanctuary in 1435, by order of King Alfonso the Magnanimous.

The patron saint of Capizzi is Saint James, celebrated on 25 July, with the sanctuary dedicated to him at the heart of the town. The following day, 26 July, the feast of the «Miracles of Saint James» is celebrated every year, recalling the removal of the saint's sacred relics, together with those of Saint Nicholas of Bari and Saint Paul, carried out in 1435 by order of Alfonso the Magnanimous by the nobleman Sancho de Heredia: the rite, always performed according to the order of the capitini, is centuries old, probably dating from Norman times, although there is no certain information on its origin.

Capizzi also preserves Palazzo Russo, the church of the Madonna delle Grazie, that of San Sebastiano, and that of Sant'Antonio da Padova.
