Approaching Cerami, the town comes into view perched on a mountain summit 1,000 metres above sea level in the province of Enna. Below, the Cerami River flows through a landscape defined by farming and herding, home to about 2,150 residents.
The area relies on growing cereals, olives, grapes, and almonds, alongside cattle breeding and sheep farming. Visitors in August can attend the town's traditional Cattle Fair, a key gathering for local livestock producers.
