Sitting 700 meters above sea level and 25 kilometers south of Palermo, Godrano lies at the base of Rocca Busambra, a peak reaching 1,613 meters. Home to 1,153 residents, the small municipality borders the edge of the Ficuzza woodland.
Its municipal area spans 3,887 hectares and shares borders with Corleone, Marineo, Mezzojuso, and Monreale. In the local Sicilian language, the town is known as Cutranu.
