Le Vie dei Tesori — Palermo: Dates & Info

For six weekends between October and November, Palermo unlocks palaces, oratories, bell towers and gardens that stay closed the rest of the year. The 19th edition, in 2025, opened 85 sites with guided storytelling visits.

Le Vie dei Tesori started in Palermo in 2006 with a simple idea: once a year, let people into the buildings they walk past but never enter. For six consecutive weekends a single coupon opens noble palaces, baroque oratories, monasteries, historic gardens and rooftop terraces, each visit paired with a short guided narration.

The 2025 edition ran from 10 October to 16 November with 85 sites, 59 themed walks led by historians and architects, and a programme of tastings and excursions. The format born in Palermo has since spread to many other Sicilian cities.

For three days the alleys of the Ballarò market turn into an open-air stage for street artists and contemporary circus, all free of charge. The ninth edition ran from 17 to 19 October 2025 under the theme 'Radici'.
