Patron saint festival In 260 days
Saint Ulrich, the patron who gave the German name to the heart of Val Gardena
📅 Every year, on 4 July
Ortisei celebrates Saint Ulrich of Augsburg on 4 July; the town's German name, Sankt Ulrich, documented since 1366, derives precisely from the patron saint, whose church owned large landholdings in the area throughout the Middle Ages.
