The patron of Buggiano is the Holy Crucifix, celebrated on 18 August in the Santuario del Santissimo Crocifisso.
Since 1367, for the feast of the Annunciation, the Fiera in Selva has been held in the hamlet of Santa Maria. Every year, on the first Sunday of May, the «Coluccio Salutati» international poetry prize is awarded, and every summer, in the Parco Colombai at Villa Ankuri, the DOP Tuscan Bread Festival is held. The town also holds the Pieve di San Lorenzo and Villa Bellavista.
