The Tofane on one side, the Cristallo on the other: Cortina's natural amphitheatre is the most celebrated parlour of the Dolomites, UNESCO-listed since 2009. The "queen" hosted the 1956 Winter Olympics — the first ever televised — and returned to Olympic duty in 2026 with the Milano-Cortina Games.
