The patron of Sant'Elena is Empress Saint Helena, celebrated on 18 August in the Church of Sant'Elena Imperatrice.
Tradition credits the saint with finding the True Cross of Christ, an episode remembered by the Catholic and Orthodox Churches on 14 September with the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. The town holds Villa Miari de Cumani and the Parco Miari De' Cumani, as well as the Monumento alla Madonna.
