The patron saint of Bussolengo is Saint Valentine, celebrated on 14 February in the church named after him.
The Fiera di San Valentino, the town's main and most distinctive feast, has been held for more than three hundred years in the week around the occasion: born as a cattle fair, it gradually grew broader over time. On 14 February 1944, precisely during the town's feast for Saint Valentine, Bussolengo was hit by bombs dropped by an American bomber fleeing an attack by enemy fighters, causing several civilian casualties. The town also holds the church of Santa Maria Maggiore and that of San Rocco.
