Saint Zeno's Sagra
📅 Every year, around 21 May

The village stands where the marsh of the Comune of Verona used to be: the drainage began in 1194 and ended in 1199, five years spent channelling the Bussè and the Fosso Storto down to the Adige. From then on this land served to feed the city, and cheaply.
For centuries few people lived here: it was reckoned the territory could support four hundred, and the parish came only in 1526. On the coat of arms there are three reeds in water, which is what was here before. Today apples are grown, and Nano Vialone rice, watered from the springs.
