The patron of Velo Veronese is Saint John the Baptist, celebrated on 24 June; the municipality holds the Chiesa di San Giovanni Battista.
The town's calendar includes the Festa del Monte Purga, between July and August; the Festa di San Carlo e dell'emigrante at Camposilvano, in mid-July; the Velofestival, in July and August; the Festa della ricotta and the Festa della transumanza. The cultural association «Le Falie» has involved a considerable part of the inhabitants in theatrical and musical activities: a polyphonic choir, a children's choir and a theatre company that stages original works in the Veronese dialect, the fruit of research into local history and traditions.
