The patron of Altino is Saint Gilbert, celebrated on 4 September.
On the last weekend of August, the town hosts the Festival del Peperone Dolce di Altino e dell'Oasi di Serranella, overlooking the Serranella Regional Nature Reserve. At the end of September, the town also holds the feast of the Saints Cosmas and Damian, shared with the nearby towns of Lentella and Roccascalegna, with the old custom of votive gifts of grain and food offered in thanks for a grace received. The town holds the Church of Santa Maria del Popolo and the Church of the Madonna del Rosario.
