The patron of Villa Celiera is San Giovanni Battista (Saint John the Baptist), celebrated on 29 August; the municipality holds the Chiesa di San Giovanni Battista.
On 7 and 8 September the Festa della Madonna di Regina Coeli is celebrated, one of the village's main religious and popular occasions, with the procession from the church of San Giovanni Battista to the church of the Regina Coeli, the solemn procession through the streets of the village, brass band accompaniment, popular games and evening shows in the square. In August 'Villa Celiera In Sagra' is held, organised by the Pro Loco and devoted to traditional Abruzzo gastronomy.
