The patron saint of Stigliano is Saint Anthony of Padua, celebrated on 13 June, in the church dedicated to him.
The town still preserves today its own castle and part of its ancient walls. Stigliano's local history, in particular that of the 16th and 17th centuries under Spanish rule, has been reconstructed through careful documentary study, which brought to light original documents and archival papers relating to that period.
