From 11 to 13 June two feasts take place in Gorgoglione, that of the Madonna del Pergamo and that of the patron Saint Anthony of Padua. On the evening of the 11th the statue of the Madonna is carried in procession on a cart decorated with flowers from the town to the country sanctuary, where it will stay until September, accompanied by the «cente votive», wooden frames with candles and garlands; on the 12th, in front of the sanctuary, the festa del Maggio takes place, a tree rite typical of the inland towns of Basilicata, in which an oak trunk and a holly top are joined and raised.
On 13 June the patronal feast of Saint Anthony takes place: the saint's statue is carried in procession through the streets of the town and animals such as oxen, donkeys, mules and pets also take part in the procession; it ends in front of the church with the blessing of the animals and the distribution of blessed bread.
