On 4 December Marzi celebrates its patron Saint Barbara; the municipal territory preserves the Cascata di Cannavina.
The comune climbs fast: from the bed of the Savuto at the Ponte Nuovo, three hundred metres, to the twelve hundred and thirty of Colle Pallone there are little more than eight kilometres as the crow flies. The hamlet of Orsara sits at eight hundred and ninety-four metres. On the coat of arms, instead of the usual towers, there are four local plants.
From here comes the cinematographer Mauro Fiore, born at Marzi in 1964 and later emigrated to the United States, who in 2010 won the Oscar for the photography of Avatar. And from here came Stanley Tucci's paternal grandparents; he came back to the village for his series on Italian cooking, and a good many people here carry his surname.
