The patron of Oriolo is Saint George the Martyr, celebrated on 23 April.
The devotion and feast of the Virgin of the Rosary were introduced in Oriolo to mark an event, and are celebrated on the first Sunday of October. In 1647, during the Masaniello revolution, the rebels of Oriolo occupied the town's castle. The town holds the Museo della Civiltà Contadina, the Porta San Giacomo and the Piccolo Teatro Valle, as well as the Cappella di San Filippo.
