The patron of Saracena is Saint Leo, protector of the town since 1630, celebrated on 20 February.
On the evening of 19 February, the vigil of the feast, the townspeople take part in an original torchlight procession that, starting from the Church of San Leone, crosses the whole town centre, made festive by folk songs and dances spontaneously performed by participants. The same feast is renewed on the second Sunday of August. The town also holds the Andrea Alfano art gallery and the Church of the Annunziata.
