The patron saint of Cirò Marina is Saint Cataldus, celebrated from 8 to 10 May in the Church of San Cataldo.
During the patronal feast, the statue of Saint Cataldus is carried to the Fontana del Principe, where it remains for an entire night in a small chapel. Until the end of the 18th century, the town hosted a great fair on 14 September, the feast day of the Madonna d'Itria, and another fair from 1 to 3 May, one of the most important in the area. The municipal territory also holds the Carafa Castle and the Temple of Apollo Aleo.
