The patron of Caulonia is Saint Hilarion the Abbot, celebrated on the second weekend of October and that of May.
The religious celebrations for Holy Week, including the Holy Saturday procession known as «Caracolo», preserve the legacy of a typically Southern Italian religious tradition. The town also hosts the Kaulonia Tarantella Festival, called Tarantella Power until 2007, and the Feast of the Madonna di Crochi. The town holds the Monastery of Sant'Ilarione and the Saracen Tower.
