The patron saint of Saviano is Saint James the Greater, celebrated on 25 July.
Already in 1551, the Confraternity of Saint James the Greater celebrated the patron's feast, and the saint's statue, held in the chapel of the same name, was carried in procession throughout the territory of the Casale di Saviano. On Good Friday, a fine 17th-century wooden statue depicting the dead Christ is instead carried on shoulders in procession. The town also holds the Church of the Immaculate Conception and the church of Sant'Erasmo.
