The patron of Boscotrecase is Saint Anne, celebrated on 26 July in the Church of Sant'Anna.
On 7 April 1906, during the eruption of Vesuvius, the townspeople carried the statue of Saint Anne in a long procession to meet the river of fire, which stopped in a lava-stone quarry around noon. On 15 April, Easter Day, another procession paraded through the town's streets: the danger had passed, with an official toll of 3 deaths. The town also holds the Church of the Ave Gratia Plena and Villa di Agrippa Postumo.
