The patron saint of Pollena Trocchia is Saint James, whose feast is held on 25 July and the days immediately before and after, with a fireworks competition. According to the faithful, the saint chases evils away from the town with his staff.
Also dear to residents is Saint Blaise, protector against throat ailments, celebrated on 3 February: for nearly a century, by custom, the feast committee of the Parish of San Giacomo Apostolo has distributed the traditional taralli di San Biagio during the morning of the first Sunday of the month. The town holds the Church of Santissima Annunziata - Ave Gratia Plena and the archaeological site of Masseria De Carolis.
